Re: Triac PC Homing Issue

If the Triac has been upgraded then you need to change type to Triac VME.

I presume you are running VRMilling version 5.

Re: Novamill electronics

Yes the Eprom is the 2.1

You can power both boards up by supplying 24 volts DC on to the Logic connection. It should also power using a 24 to 28 volt AC supply.

Re: Novamill electronics

The Denstep LED codes can be found here.

If you remove the Eprom does it still show the same message?

Re: Earth Clamp Mod

Are you talking about the Dust Extraction earth mod for the static?

If you are it`s as simple as running a earth wire between the top & bottom barrels to earth both.

It all looks fine.

How are you connecting from the machine to the computer? USB - Serial Converter or straight from a serial port?

Re: Major Timeout Error

Make sure the RED Led on the Denstep control is lit.

Easy Upgrader only connects to the Nextstep control. You should have DenMint I think on the C drive which should help.

Re: Major Timeout Error

Have you got the correct machine selected?

It sounds like you have a Denstep control so you need to select the legacy machine type.

Does the machine work?

Some of the interlocks are tied in to the current machines we supply.

Re: Another Communication problem

What is the version of E Prom on the Dendtep control card? If it's 2.0 05 2.1 then it should be ok for VRMilling but it may be a Dos chip.

What Com port do you have the USB to serial adaptor set to? I would suggest setting it in advanced to between Com 1 & Com 5 if possible.

Re: Maxirouter Emergency Stop Help

Just noticed in one of the pictures you put on drop box that the 0 Volts to the E-Stop Contact Coil (wire 60) is still in the trunking & not connected to to terminal A2 on the contact.

Are the electrical drawings inside the electrical cabinet?

Not sure when we are back in the office but I should be able to find some then.

Re: Maxirouter Emergency Stop Help

You could also try to move each towards the centre of it`s travel away from any limit switches.

What version of VRMilling are you running from? We did have to make some alterations to the home directions years ago.

Re: Maxirouter Emergency Stop Help

Hi Alan

Some of the limit switches are inside the stepper motors.

Have you tried pressing in & holding the Axis Limit Switch Override which should be near the E-Stop button. It should bypass all the limit switches.

Re: coil/thread design reversed

Hi Mark

The easiest way is to swap a pair of motor wires over. It would normally be done on the stepper drive. The motor is wired with 2 pairs so make sure you swap the same pair.
