Re: ATC (auto tool change) Gearbox info

Hi Pete

Hope you are well.

We changed to 2 pawls as we found that the single pawl was being distorted over time with the grub screw pushing in to it which then caused the centre height to be out. At the same time they were made slightly larger as well.

Re: ATC (auto tool change) Gearbox info

I think we have a couple of motors in stock at Denfords if you are interested? The new Toolchangers we build now have stepper motors fitted but we did modify the toolpost control card on the older machines to limit the power to the motor. I will see if I can locate the drawing when I am next in the ...

Re: TOE80 Turret Problem

Have you checked that you have soldered the encoder back in correctly. The tabs are quite small & close together so you may have bridge 2 connectors.

If it blows the fuse again its probably the Z axis brake & the two diodes connected across 13-15 & 15-0.

Does the CPU power up at all when you connect the USB lead & does it show up in Device Manager on the computer?

Can you install EasyUpgrader & see if that connects?

Also have you selected the correct machine.

This is the original record sheet for your machine with the timers, counters & keep relay settings.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chris

Do you have the serial number for the Cyclone.

We should have a copy of all the specific settings on record at Denfords.

Re: Setting Spindle 0 on novaturn

The spindle has an encoder fitted to it but that will only read the relative position.

When the motor is asked to stop it just decelerates at a given ramp & stops. It could be anywhere so you would need to stall it somehow.

Re: Compact 1000 pro E-stop and off on switch

Are you sure the switch is being activated?

There is a bit a play on screw & it needs to be pushed towards the actuator before the 2 button head screws are tightened.

Re: Locking up when homing

I have seen similar before.

It looks to be as the spindle stops & the door unlocks.

The only way to fix it is to replace the Bernstein Interlock Switch from what I have seen.

The Dos software needs a different eprom to the VR software.

What eprom version do you have & if it is Dos then what is the serial number of the machine?

It should be fine.

Have you cleaned the filter? Also check for dust in the clear pipe.
