The overtravels should be clear.

Take a look at the fuses & 5 & 12 volt LED`s inside the control.
The cover around the control slides off & the power supply is the card in the centre looking from the top. The LED`s are near the top.

Cyclone Fanuc OTA, X axis judders & alarm 414

When homing the X axis on Cyclone Fanuc OTA fitted with Norwin drives the X axis judders quite rapidly & then trips out the fanuc control with alarm message 414.
The x axis moves freely when the drives are off & turned at the pulley.

The Denford toolpost fitted on the Orac Lathe was produced by denfords. It is fitted with a DC motor that drives a worm gear via a small gearbox. When the turret rotates 24 Volts DC is applied. When it reaches the requested position the polarity is then reversed & dropped to 12 Volts. This is then h...

You need to reinstall the printer. The software is designed to run on a stand alone machine with the laser set as the default printer. When it is not set as the default it somehow picks the size from elsewhere & resets it`s default size. If you remove the laser from the printers you can then add it ...

Try the "T test" .

Power up the control then press "T" on the opperators pannel.

It will tell you at the bottom of the screen which overtravel is active & will show when it is clear.

You can then try moving the X axis away by turning the stepper motor pulley.

Is the machine fitted with a toolchanger.

The software may be trying to do a toolchange.

Try removing the tool call from the program & try calling a tool manually.

You need to run the latest version of "EasyUpgrader".I think the latest version is 1.7.0.103. EasyUpgrader is normally supplied on the main VRMilling or Turning cd`s supplied. If you run the "autorun" on the cd it is the second option. ( you can also download it from the Denford web site) Turn on th...

It sounds like you have a bad connection to the Motor or a faulty Stepper Drive Card. Try swapping the drive cards in the rack over. Check the resistance accross the Z Motor windings at the plug on top of the rack. 2 windings red-yellow black-orange both about 1.6 to 2 Ohms when unplugged from the d...
