I had the same problem, but it is easily solved.
1. Get a key that fits the slot, (it does not have to turn).
2. Remove the 2 nuts that hold the barrel in place. (This will separate the electric switch part from the key section).
3. With the key section out swap around the small brass key pins ...

I have just got an easimill with the pnc3 old controller, I want to store programs to the tape deck but have no mini tapes. Does anyone out there know which brand of mini audio tapes work in these decks please?
I have tried Philips and BT so far but these do not physically fit ...
