wires 61 and 68 are dead in transformer box, and at every junction on the strip in the back cabinet. Wires 24 and 25 also seem dead in the box. No sign of the dial overload thing you talked about Bob Hi Bob OK, wires 24 and 25 carry the AC supply to the 24V DC PSU, you should have roughly 32~34V AC...

. Bob This may sound silly but there are Thermal cutouts on Fanuc Drive units, there should be a round white coloured dial with a red button in the centre somewhere on your Spindle Drive unit in the Main Control Box. Check the red button hasn`t "popped out", if it has try resetting it and the switch...

Can you post a photo of the inside of the transformer box & the electrical connections in the main control box. It may be that the 24volts dc is 60(0v) & 61(+24v). The power supply we used back then was a silver chasis with a transformer & pcb mounted on it if that helps to identify it. Bob In my P...

Many thanks all. I did get rid of the low battery alarm, all ok in that department. I will wait now for the part from America, and update all when it is fitted. At least one of the alarms has gone, so its a step in the right direction !! Bob Hi Bob OK, glad it`s getting closer for you. Give you tim...

Thanks all. I will have to wait for the new bit from the states. I still have my not ready alarm, and the other 2. I noticed parameters 51 and 58 in the diagnostics screen flicker alot ? all others are ok? Bob Hi Bob Don`t worry about the flickering, that is normal for a lot of the Diagnostics. Mea...

Hi I still have the alarms, and the 100 alarm. I cant home the machine Bob Hi Bob You have to disable the PWE back to "0" setting to get rid of the 100 alarm, if you have already done that and pressing the "reset" button doesn`t get rid of it you may need to power down and then back on again. If th...

Hi Power is now restored to the breaker, I made a mistake, it was wire 9. Simple remove and replace. Power now at all points on the breakers. Followed your advice, set PWE to 1, can now input. Now I'm stuck, parameters for the diagnostics confuse me. If looking at parameter 450, do I run along all ...

Hi Rob There is power at all of them except 31 and where it comes out or in at 7 on the same breaker. No power as you suggest if breaker turned off. This is what baffles me, all the others that use 7 are linked, so it must be as you say, dodgy connection to the breaker. In the attached layout sheet...

Logically I cant see why wire 31 can have no power, as its linked to others with power? Wires 44 and 47 have power? The breaker with wire 31 going to it, was in the off postion when I got the machine, switching it on makes no difference. Attached. diagram I refer to. Bob Bob I assume then that wire...

No amount of trying will allow the input of any parameters, machine definately stuck in e stop mode. Hi Bob You should be able to access the Parameters even in E Stop mode, have you "Enabled" the PWE on the second screen when you go to Parameters? You can`t alter anything on the parameters without ...

Small amount of progress after Saturdays poking around in the machine and power supply box. There is no power on wire 31 in the big black floor standing box power unit. This is strange, as it is looped from another breaker which has power. Second query is: the spindle drive motor fan seems to be ru...

Hi Rob Many thanks for taking the time to assist me over the phone Saturday. I am now more aware of the problem, and happy with the understanding of the parameter situation. If you get a chance to see what you have for the diagnostics lines, 530 or 450 I think, I'd be most grateful. Also, where can...

Hi Many thanks for the link and further information. The RS232 configuration looks exactly the same as for the Bridgeport/Heidenhain. A thought crossed my mind, what software is used to perfom the download/uploads? For the Bridgeport I use the freely available TNCremont, or server program. I suppos...

. Hi Bob Once you get the Cyclone up and running you will wonder how you ever managed without it!! One other small thing, if you appear to have a turret problem it may just need 2 of the phases swapping, the turret is "phase dependent". Link to page on this Forum for RS232 info, this is all works sp...

Many thanks, I'm sure if I study this I may well find the a way of sorting the problem. One question, can all the parameters be upload via the serial port as with a Bridgeport mill and heidenhain controller? If they can, are they available to download from a site somewhere? I realised I should have...

Does any body have a maintenance manual for the zeroturn that I could have a copy of? Or know which bits I should be lubricating? Doesn`t it have the "Autolube" system on it?? Most Denford Lathes/Mills have one!! For sale on Ebay £13.10 including postage!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Denford-Zeroturn-CNC...
