Re: Testing home switches on V5 Millling

Before homing any of the axes, you could press and hold in, any of the datum switches and if the switch, wiring and input are OK, then you would get an axis letter with a green border being displayed in the control panel window. (see below)

If this doesn´t help, I would recommend to restart the computer (also change the USB port) and remove other USB...

Re: VR Milling error "Invalid data field length for transact

Am sure its still a usb / noise fault
It just means USB data corruption
Try plugging your USB cable form the PC directly into the Baldor board, see if this solves the problem

laser less effective than it was

Hi Chris, After 7 years, it sounds as though the laser cartridge is expiring, contact Denfords for replacement costs. Just as an after thought, is the air assist cone partially blocked with debris etc and is it aligned correctly. i.e. so the the laser beam is not hitting the side of the cone? Yes UL...

Re: VLS 6.60 doesnt remember the calabration settings

The focal height value should be saved to the Laser CPU. Are you setting the focal height correctly? 1. Make sure that the Z axis (Honeycomb bed) has been homed. 2. Jog the Honycomb bed up, until the white dowel stetting tools sloping surface, is just sitting under the black anodised plate that hold...
