Re: Cyclone TU150 u not booting up

Thanks,
Tried your suggestions, but still no change. Does the screen message mean that the computer has entered the bios, or that it still needs to ?

Hi,

Thanks for quick reply. I've had the machine on for the last two weeks, to ensure the battery is fully charged, and go to it now and again and try the cont-alt-s, but no joy.

Cyclone Toolchange

Can anyone help me find a new length of suitable conduit to replace the toolchange umbilical on my Denford Cyclone, together with the end fittings. I believe the threads are not english, but european. Any help or info would be apreciated.

Deluded Starmill

Hi again Mr Mcgoo,

When you mention the custom card, I think you are talking about a different control box. This starmill is fitted with the SMUC control, not the rack unit, although the principle of operation may be the same. The axis drives, including the tc axis, are on a sub board, and would ...

Deluded Starmill

Hi,
Been playing with the Starmill, but it has developed an odd fault. On Datum setup, all goes well with the X Y Z axis, but when it gets to reset the Toolchanger, the Z axis moves instead. After a while (and after tearing what's left of my hair out), I realized the Z axis was mimicking the tool ...

Hi Mr Magoo,

Found the Starmill.opt file, only entries are two lines referring to DOS access. Added line TOOLCHANGEX 160 as suggested, but no change in machine behavior. Seems like you're on the right track ! If you know the secret of how to improve memory ??????????
Thanks for your efforts ...

Toolchanger

Hi Mr Magoo,
Thanks for that. Rereading my question, I may have misled you ! Machine Datums, I assume correctly, to all positive axis points, ie X 160 Y 90 Z 115. Then Toolchanger resets to tool position declared at Datum call. Now all functions on machine work correctly, until a toolchange is ...

Toolchanger

Hi,

Not sure if this is a software or hardware issue . The toolchanger on my SMUC Starmill seems to operate fine on datum setup, but after that it goes through the sequence Z HOME Y HOME but then it moves toward the X home, but does not stop untill the limit trips. At which point, no further ...
