Re: HNLD
Hi Phil, You can ignore the 38T spindle gear to reverse idlers to 38T - all that does is give you a 1:1 reversing arrangement, so the shaft with the second 38T on it is your 'stud' shaft - i.e. the input to the reduction train. Yes, you're right that the 'stud gear' as indicated on the charts is cur...
Re: HNLD
Hi Phil, Think of the calc as 2 different bits. First, the overall gear ratio, which is the product of the gear pairs, i.e. 36/54 x 18/100 = 0.12 So the leadscrew rotates by 0.12 of a turn for each rotation of the spindle. Now take the leadscrew, which is 8tpi. Every turn of the leadscrew moves the ...
Re: HNLD
Hi ?? (you didn't give us your name) Welcome to the forum. If my maths is right, you'll be able to cut 66.67 tpi - or about 0.015" per rev which is a heavy roughing feedrate. Your screw thread chart shows you all the gears you'll need to cut a standard range of imperial threads; I don't think there ...

Hi Trev, Welcome to the forum. There never have been exploded view parts diagrams for Denford machines - everything is based off the assembly drawings like the ones in this thread - https://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=2986 There are a lot of parts lists here: https://www.denfordata.co...

Re: Senior mill - denford colour
Hi John, I was told by someone at Denford (a few years back) that the Denford blue was a mix specific to them, and I've never seen a reference or spec for it. So I think you're stuck with finding a paint supplier that can do colour matches, or finding the nearest RAL or BS colour. Had the same probl...

Re: Help with TDS6 Bowl Lathe
Answer from Denford, several years ago: the Denford blue-green colour was a unique mix (no RAL, BS or other colour code) - so your only option is to get a match done at a specialist shop.

Re: Tom Senior - what have I got?
Steve, It is a TS 'Light Vertical' - that has been 'pimped' (but done well if the engineering matches up to the exterior views)! There should be a serial number - often stamped into front of the column. I don't recall if the Light Verticals were included in the 4 digit number series of the M1's. IIR...

Came across this drawing (whilst looking for something else) with the different Delco pump numbers on it as used over the years:

Re: Viceroy Pillar drill Return Spring
Guessing your old one is broken (or is it missing?)? I doubt you'll find one with a Denford label / part number on it, so a few choices if you have the bits of the old one: Measure the width, thickness & number of turns, then try an online search. Do you have a clock repairer near you? Ask them what...

Hi, Welcome to the forum. Can you describe a bit more about what you've already tried regarding the honing oil supply? e.g. are the pipes all intact and clear? Edit; (Are you sure it's a diaphragm pump? Being gear driven and with a viscous oil, I would expect it to be a gear pump.) OK - so popular o...

Re: Out of position error code
I'm no expert in CNC / G-code, but I know that ellipses can be problematic (in laser cutting too), as a quick web search shows. Are you sure that the Easimill G-code controller has ellipse capability? Have you ever cut ellipses before? If you use multiple arcs to approximate the ellipse, does that w...

Hi,
I've looked through all the documentation that I have, but there is very little on the 3C machines.
The wiring diagrams have already been posted. The only other relevant file is the Heidenhain TNC 151 / 155 operating manual.

Re: Viceroy vertical slide ?
Richard,
I can't answer all of your questions immediately, but one is easy.
The 2 x 0.375" rollers are referring to gauge pins used to measure the width of the dovetails - a standard way of measuring them both internal and external. They are not part of the finished machined casting.
