Hi all

tried changing the crystal to 16mhz after checking the processor speed (KC16)
unfortunatly still the same "L" display and error 50
So I am look for any more help or sugestions

To Denford Admin

The .opt & .go files were copied from my current version into the new
version directory so were identical

The new eproms when fitted both displayed "L" on the card display with a
flashing dot in the lower left corner instead of the "8" displayed on the
original eprom any ideas ...

I use v1.88 of heiden.exe and this will drip feed as steve described
except the file name to be run apears in the top right hand corner
this version has run a file of approx 20,000 lines with no problems
If it is of any help I can send you a copy

Mr Magoo mentioned clock speeds of 8 12 & 16 mhz
I have had a look at my own board and it is fitted with a 14 Mhz crystal.
Have tried both new versions of eprom file but neither work so is it
posible to change this crystal or do other components need to be changed
as well ?

v1.05/KC/S

for info if this does require updating and somebody can send me the
file i know a chap with eprom programmers who could do the upgrade

Thanks for your replies, But I am still having no joy.
copied files as described but no luck (tried a few other cobinations

Have tried using this version but I get the above error when run
using the same settings as my current (working) version (V1.62)
I can get it to work by using my current FANUCMD.APP in this directory
but then I get v1.62 however it proves the com port settings.
