There is also the sample program thats included with the starturn software on the denford site, that stuff can be compared on (and it runs under XP, just click ignore if it moans about a com port)

Funny system though, seems to include the same comment at least 3 times in the STA file? :S

Thats stunning,

only problem i got - i cant afford enough tools to fill all of them lol.

i use indexable tools and so far my collection is up to 4 standard tools and a boring bar :(

anyway, they are stunning, bit big for my machine, but i like your style - and i shall be making mines shortly :)

this might be over the top, but if its causing you major headaches - then you are guarenteed to get it right within 4.2 hours, assuming a startup time of 50 seconds, and 10 seconds to change the dips. good ol' binary 00000001 00000010 00000011 00000100 00000101 00000110 00000111 00001000 ... well yo...

DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i feel really stupid now, your absolutly right! The toolpost on my machine has only 2 positions, and now you mention it, may very well be a dickson (sure it rings a bell). I snapped the bolt that mounts the toolpost onto the slide last week, and thought 'oh my god, disaster'...

I love that second photo, how it makes the ORAC look so small and portable. As anyone with an orac knows, its still a bit of a lump when it comes to moving it by hand. :D

Orac RS232 almost a problem??

Hi I have written a template converter/nc creator for the orac to use with EDGECam, and all is good, the code generated works perfect, if i enter it manually into the the ORAC, but fails to work when i send it via the serial port. The setup is fine, and i can both send and recieve files to the ORAC ...
