Re: CAM BAM settings for Novamill and Novaturn
Hi Guys
I'm also interested in a post processor for CAMBAM. Does anyone know if one exists ?
Thanks

Re: Hot bearings
Hi Pete
Thanks for the link. I had already found that particular site, although I was put off by the lack of a definite manufacturer for that bearing. I think the banner just said 'FAG and other leading brands'.
I've emailed them and they've indicated they will supply FAG or SKF bearings rather ...

Hot bearings
Hi
I've been using my new Novamill for the children's school project ( engraving brass key rings). It's been running flat out for a couple of hours , but the spindle bearings have got so hot I could barely touch the casting. Most of the grease has migrated south and now the bearings sound less than ...

Re: Novamill capabilities
Hi
Thanks for the feedback, so I've now bought the machine.
I'm at the bottom of the learning curve, so its up from here on !

Novamill capabilities
Hi
I'm thinking of buying a Novamill for model engineering , building7.25" steam locomotives. Typically I'll be working with mild steel, cast iron and brass. Assuming the workpiece will fit on the table, is a Novamill capable of machining these materials or am I expecting too much from a machine of ...

Re: Failed triac motor speed control
Sorry, forgot to say, the chap selling the machine tells me the spindle runs at approximately 500 RPM. Does this help to narrow down the likely problem ?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Failed triac motor speed control
The machine is described as "Fully enclosed and with a 6 station
tool changer, and Fanuc or Heidenhain simulated interchangeable
controls."
Does this help to identify which type of drives its likely to have ?
Thanks

Re: Failed triac motor speed control
Thanks for the information so far !
Can I tell if its a TRIAC Fanuc/PC/VMC from the serial number, which is 40202 A, manufactured May 1994.
Thanks

Failed triac motor speed control
Hi
I have my eye on a Triac mill from around 1994. The spindle speed control doesn't work, so the spindle only runs very slowly.
In the worst case, how much is it likely to cost to fix ?
Are there any common motor speed control failures ?
Sorry if this is a bit vague.
Thanks
Jason

Denford TRIAC programming from cad drawing
Before I begin, please accept my apologies in advance for what may seem like a completely stupid question !
I am considering buying a TRIAC mill, believed to be from around 1994. I don't have a serial number, but I do know the machine is fully enclosed and with a 6 station tool changer and supports ...
