Re: VR Milling V5 X axis in wrong direction
Try:- Set up. Set up machine parameters. (Password is "denny"). Feed. Look at the parameter Motor Direction X. Change 0 to 1, or 1 to 0 depending on what you see. Close. You may have to close and open VR Milling for the change to take effect. Suggest machining fresh air to check whether this worked!...

Re: GCode for curve incorrect.
This is a file importation problem. If the .LCM drawing is produced from scratch the GCode is correct although IMHO there is rather a lot of material left to be removed by the LH turning tool when making the final cut on the curve remote from the chuck. If I import the .DWG file and use that to gene...

Re: GCode for curve incorrect.
I've been doing a bit more work on this and it seems that curves machined in what I'll call the South East quadrant of a circle aren't machined correctly, the GCode produced by QT2DD design being incorrect. There is no .MML file for a Denford Mirac supplied with QT2DD, so I've been using the file Tu...

GCode for curve incorrect.
The attached .DWG file is imported into QT2DD and used to produce a .LCM drawing. The Cam Wizard is then used to create a .FNL file containing the GCode for producing the part. If a simulation is then run in QT2DD the RH turning tool cuts the curve nearest the chuck correctly. Next I would expect th...

Thanks Steve.
I don't suppose you have any version 2.2 EPROM's available?
Or perhaps a forum member has read the EPROM's contents using a programmer?

That works! Thanks.
Problem is that if I close, then later reopen, EasyUpgrader I get the same error message relating to a .ocx fie not registering. Solution is to uninstall then reinstall EasyUpgrader.

Sorry, but I missed the last post.
I've now loaded Version 1.35 and can confirm that the tip angle is now stored correctly.
Many thanks, Max.

Tool offset values corrupted when in "Inch" mode.
VR TURNING VER 1.53.0.0 Open VR Turning and use the units button to select "Inch". Connect to a real or virtual machine. Open the tooling menu and use the ATC to change to any tool other than tool 1 which is the reference tool. Enter some offset values for the tool. I used X = -1 and Z = -1. Close t...

Imported drawing with Imperial dimensions is re-dimensioned incorrectly.
The attached drawing TEST.DWG has Imperial dimensions. If the drawing is imported into QT2DD and converted to a .LCM drawing all dimensions are divided by 25.4 (The number of mm in an inch). This applies regardless of which conversion type is selected during the import process ie "Convert to metric"...

Re: Mirac homing problems after USB upgrade.
The controller isn't in the machine at present, but IIRC I can force either version of firmware on to it and Easy Upgrader 2 will report that it's up to date. 5331 Next Move ST RS232 and USB 5414 Next Move ST USB Old Green LED with CE updates. I'd assumed that Easy Upgrader 2 read the controller ID ...

"Search for machine" freezes.
VR Turning version 1.53.0.0. Windows 7. Open app and right click on Machine. Click on Search for Machine in the drop down menu. Only Comm 3 is searched and the progress bar freezes anywhere between 50% and 90% locking up the app. It's not possible to select Comm 1 or USB. Any chance of a fix? Thanks.

Re: Mirac homing problems after USB upgrade.
As the control card came from a Triac it occurred to me that it might be loaded with the wrong firmware etc. for a Mirac? Easy Upgrader 2 is apparently for ROHS and CE machines only? Is there an earlier version of Upgrader I should be using? If Easy Upgrader 2 is correct should I be selecting Next M...

Those are the same files linked to in post #3 of this thread and they don't cure the problem.
