Easiturn control cabinet removal

I'm trying to take the control cabinet off the top of my Easiturn. It uses the same kind of mounting collar as my Easimill, with the control cabinet sandwiched between the collar flange and the actual lathe cabinet. You need simplify your testing. Operate the VFD from its front panel and step the speed up from there. Set the display for motor current and check it isn't getting too high.

The motor data plate is for 415v Y or Star connection. It's actually connected in Delta for 240v and you need to multiply the ...

There really aren't any remaining parts of the original control electronics. I've really only re-used the main toroidal transformer, bridge rectifiers and smoothing capacitors.

You're probably right on the stepper driver number. I chose it mostly on it's voltage rating as my Orac stepper supply ...

Orac electronics for sale.

I'm doing a complete refit on an Orac that was in original full working condition and so have more or less everything available other than the power supplies.

As far as I've been able to find out it is a variation of the DIN 55021 spindle nose standard. The standard starts at 3" (size 3), so the Compact 8/Orac is smaller than the definition of the standard. However, the taper is the same on all sizes; 7 degrees, 7 minutes and 30 seconds, or 7.125 degrees ...

Since the Orac is based on the Emco Compact 8, the spindle nose is probably the same and based on DIN 55021
