Is it possible to upgrade the Fanuc controlled triac spindle drive to gain more power and torque from the original Lenze motor and Lynx drive card because there doesnt seem to be enough torque and power on the original drive. Has anyone got any recomendations on replacment motors and drive cards and...

Had a good look today with my father who's a sparks and weve got he following results so far. If fuse F1 is removed the machine will power up no problem and alarm 1008 comes on the monitor. If we pull the spindle forward relay and F1 we get the same as above which has eliminated it being the motor. ...

Can you turn the spindle manually? It could be that the Brower unit is pushing on to the draw bar. When the machines off i can turn the spindle by hand but when its on its rotating and making a hell of a racket. After some weeks of no use i fired my triac up today and got the error code 1008 spindle drive fault come on the screen. ANy explanation as to why both parameter settings worked eg 00000010 and 00001010??? The other bit setting is turning on another feature , eg: it might enable Helical Interpolation or something like that. :!: I've got to warn you though - don't go changing all the 900 parameters to see what happens...

If as an OEM supplier we wanted to extend the memory on the control all that needed doing was to change one of the 900 parameters. We were not allowed to do this and had ...
