Tab Nut.

You will need to remove the X axis stepper motor & the Pulley on the end of the Lead screw. You will then see the Tab Nut & Tab Washer. You can push the Tab back then tighten the nut & lock it with the Tab.

is this normal?

the table moves back and forth pretty easily (and no its not the vice that's moving)

well with a bit of help from tom I started taking the table completely to bits to try work out the problem

although the backlash issue is 100% not the ball screws, the ball screws are very very sticky. turns out the oiler isn't working which could well be the cause.

there doesn't seem to be any play/movement in the ball screws just very sticky (yes I have oiled), so its either leave the ball screws knowing that at some point in the near future they are going to need sorting or doing it now.

the sleeve that's needed to take the threaded bar out, anyone know what one I need and where to buy from? a link would be handy.

also this screw which is for the jib is fooked, I didn't do this it was already like it. anyone know where to get a new one?
