Reading Gerber Files
I am having difficulty getting gerber files to open properly in VR Milling 5. The files that worked last year are not working this year. so when I open the files in VR milling now, they appear incomplete - I can see some of the track but not all.
I have checked that the gerber files I am using are still valid by opening them on the Circuit People site that is suggested elsewhere in this forum, and they appear as they should be.
I have attached image files to illustrate the difference off what the file looks like on Circuit People and what it looks like in VR Milling 5.
The only difference I can think of is that we have upgraded the software that runs our 2600 mill. Could this be the problem?
I would appreciate any advice that you may have to offer. Thank you in advance

Re: Reading Gerber Files
What version of VR Milling are you using?
5.56 is the current version
Changes were made in version 5.54
// 22nd Apr 2013 v5.54 - Gerber updates for regions and Dark/Clear modes..use GerberReader.DrawCircuit instead of your own drawlines

Re: Reading Gerber Files
Thanks for the prompt response. We were running VR Milling 5.55, but have today updated to 5.56.
unfortunately the same Gerber file is still not reading correctly. i have tried attaching a copy of the file so that you could check that you can read it correctly. unfortunately the forum is giving an error message saying the the extension GBR is not allowed.
the fact is that the file seems to work on the web site mentioned above.
I could email the file to you is you would like to test it, would that help?
Thank you
Patrick
