DENFORD TRIAC v2.4 dnc program size

Post by hpdrifter » Fri 11 May , 2007 18:31 pm

Hi All

I have been using DOS software DENFORD TRIAC v2.4 dnc for some time with no problems.
Recently I have started to try and run larger programs ie circa 4000 lines of code. However when I try and load them into the editor I get the following error message "Cannot load all of CNC program".
I have increased the RAM 4x and this has not helped the problem.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

If you leave the disc in & press reset you can then run the program in auto. I think that the software displays the program name/number & loads in one line at a time.

I am a little confused by your solution.

I am trying to load the program into the editor on the laptop in order to check and simulate the program prior to uploading to the machine in DNC mode.
I assume you mean the reset on the TRIAC??
How does this help??

Thanks

"Can not load all of CNC program" means that the program can't be loaded into the Triac softwares Editor. You can not view or alter the program but you can simulate it.

Notice when you clear the error message (press reset if using a Desk Top Tutor or ESC if using a QWERTY keyboard), the program name appears as yellow text on purple background in top right corner of the screen.

Now you can press F9 -> Simulate to execute direct from disk

(FYI the software can't load a program bigger than 64Kb, regardless of how much RAM your computer has!)
