Mirac PC 1992 had a LCB3 control

Post by bradders » Tue 15 Sep , 2009 8:18 am

Customer is looking for software to get his Mirac PC 1992 had a LCB3 control up and running.

Your Mirac PC 1992 had a LCB3 control which we cannot offer an upgrade for, it had a Baruffaldi RH80-6 Toolpost.

1. Create a DOS boot disc (I think this is what you type at the DOS prompt a:/format/s) you have to do this from DOS 6.22

2. From our web site select the old DOS software you require, sorry but I cannot be more specific, it could be Mirac.zip
https://website.denford.ltd.uk/support/9 ... s-software
and copy the files onto the boot disc

3. From our web site select the DRIVERS2 directory, https://website.denford.ltd.uk/support/9 ... s-software
and copy the files onto the boot disc

4. I have copied a .OPT and .GO files from a later machine, I cannot be 100% sure they are right but it is a start. In your unzipped Mirac.zip machine software locate the Mirac.OPT file and the Mirac.GO files that are already on the boot disc and copy the information below into their respective directories. See the forum site for more information on the .OPT and .GO files. ( Note!! the last line of the .GO file below is flstep.app, this name usually relates to the software you are running, in this case FLSTEP, no doubt others on the forum can offer more advice)

Hello Bradders

I tried your method but I can't get it right.
Should I put the UNZIPPED MIRAC Files into directory A:\Mirac
and also all the UNZIPPED Drivers2 Files into same directory again - A:\Mirac?
Thank you.

Don

You need to Unzip the files fiirst.

If you left mouse click on downloaded filed you should be able to select unzip then save them.

With it being a Mirac PC you don't need to create a dos boot disc so you could save the files anywhere & make a shortcut to the "Mirac.exe" file.

Thanks Martin.
Everything seems okay for now, will have to figure out how to use QWERTY to control MIRAC V2.25.

You might find my post here.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Not sure if you found this post:

It is the manual which shows how to use the DOS software with a QWERTY keyboard instead of the Tutor.
