Create a 3D Slot together Fly

This Project requires a sheet of 3mm thick Acrylic 600mm x 300mm, QuickCAM 2D or LaserCAM software and a Laser Cutter.

Made on Universal Laser cutter VLS 3.5

The model is scaled to produce a friction fit when using 3mm material. The whole model can be scaled to create a tighter or slacker fit if required.

Top Tip



Before cutting the part highlight two parts in the top left corner of the work piece by selecting them. Then go to cut these choosing print selected. You can then cut these from a small piece of scrap material check that the parts fit together before cutting the full sheet. If required you can then scale the full model to get a better fit.
