I had some problems installing 5.24.38 on my laptop.

General rules when installing this driver.

ENSURE ALL OLDER DRIVER INSTALLATIONS ARE REMOVED FIRST!

ENSURE THE LAPTOP HAS THE POWER SUPPLY CONNECTED.

I COULD NOT GET THE USB DRIVER TO INSTALL CORRECTLY WHEN THE LAPTOP WAS ON BATTERY POWER.

Answer: uninstall old drivers and UCP -> restart PC -> install 5.24.38 (with power suply connected). :)

Probabily this is not final solutions: I make this steps (on desktop - not laptop) but I have other problem: "Installation Error version. Please re-install the UCP application and firmware."
Please help!

Hi,

I had this message also. (even though the lasers still seemed to work afterwards).

I Uninstalled and reinstalled rebooting as requested and it seemed to fix the problem.

ULS are looking at the install routine. There may be another version.

Did you unplug the USB before making the install?

If not try disconnecting then install the software. Then plug the usb into the usb ports on the PC. Plug into each port in turn and the driver will install on all of them.

You may then need to uninstall and reinstall again.

In most cases the software installs perfectly. I know of about a dozen installations with no problems.

What operating system are you using?

Thanks Steve,

I uninstall -> unplug USB -> reboot -> install -> reboot -> plug USB, and now is ok. (Windos XP SP2).
I observe some delay to all command, on this version - is normal?

I hope this version resolve my old problem with rotary/CORA: turn circle in oval if I print vector (with blue).
