Machine Identification and Circuit diagrams

Post by Steve » Thu 03 May , 2012 0:16 am

There are 3 generations of the turn 270 and the circuit diagrams are attached below.

Turn 270
The first machine was basically the Nova Turn built into the new style cabinet which integrated the electronics. The electrical circuits are quite different to the NovaMill but the spindle is still controlled using a DC motor.

The Motor is clearly visible behind the z axis.

New Turn 270
This machine was a major redesign incorporating new castings and an AC Motor The motor is hidden behind an angled back plate so cannot be seen. The machine is fitted with an 80mm chuck and stil has a turret driven with a DC Motor.

Turn 270PRO
TRN003000
This machine has a new design of turret fitted. The turret has a larger disc to give more chuck clearance and is driven by a stepper motor. The machine is fitted with a 100mm super precision chuck.
