Triac motor only runs in reverse.
I have just come across a small problem with the Triac!
Spindle motor only runs in reverse with both M04 and M03!!!
Any Ideas??
Thanks Roy

Triac was made with both AC and DC spindle motors...
AC spindle motor forward/reverse was done by the spindle drive and used a low current relay fitted to the main PCB to switch the foward/reverse input into the spindle drive (I think this is the type Mat is talking about).
DC spindle motor had this small relay switching a bigger (13 Amp) relay mounted off the PCB next to the spindle drive that was used to reverse the spindle motor armature wires. This could also be the culprit (and quite likely that the contacts of this relay have welded themselves shut!)

I think I am confusing you a little here. I understand M3 is clockwise. But as this is causing problems with the relay, I have swapped the motor wiring so now if I always program M04 (reverse), I will always get forward motion with no problems. Where as before the relay was required to 'switch' to obtain forward, but oftern stuck, so the motor ran in reverse when it should have been forward.
