Basic FANUC question
When programming by Triac FANUC OM-C I can enter in the individual "words" like G00 or M06 etc but how do I enter the words that need to follow like M06 T02 for example?

At the moment my work around is to hit "EOB" after the M06 then type in the T02, hit EOB then go back up in the programme and hit delete to move the T02 back onto the M06 line.

There must be an "enter" button or similar but the obvious "Input" button doesn't do anything in programme edit mode?

Any clues?

Thanks!

Re: Basic FANUC question
Is there a input button?
Re: Basic FANUC question
Yes, there is an Input button. It works in MDI mode to put in words but in edit mode it doesn't do anything.

Re: Basic FANUC question
Have you tried EOB (End of Block)?
Re: Basic FANUC question
Yep - I am using the EOB button at present (see first post ;) ) but was hoping there is a tidier way of inputting the code?

Re: Basic FANUC question
when in edit mode entering a program you use the 'Insert' key after typing each word, at the end of the line you use EOB

Thanks - I'll give it a go.

Re: Basic FANUC question
In edit mode you need to start a new program, to start, select edit mode, select blue prog button enter O0001 press Insert key, press EOB insert.

now you have a new program you can start entering commands one word at a time e.g. G21 press insert, G40 press insert G00 insert G99 press EOB

that is you first line entered

Just keep going the same way till you have all the code entered.

:D
Re: Basic FANUC question
Well this thread is now pretty much redundant - I am now able to send code via M29 DNC mode so nice easy programming on the laptop in front of the fire :)

Thanks for the input, I'm off to the man cave to snap endmills........ :delirious:
