PNC CONVERION TO MACH 3

Post by Large519 » Fri 10 May , 2013 10:17 am

In the midst of conervting my pnc3, I have removed the main pcb and so far have re routed the mains power direct to the main contactor, but am confused with some of the wiring coming form this contactor? there is a black and white cable from a2 to c06 to skt.c then to the lube pump - the description in the gsm manual states lube pump neutral, but am getting 240v from it, also on the skt.c socket there is a red/white cable going to the lube pump but is noted as being the lube pump L ??? what voltage powers the lube pump??

Is there any information or make and model on the pump itself ?
Is it a smallish autolube pump with a handle ? How about a photo of it ?

No info that I can find, havent looked on the pump itself yet.

Also would you know of any reference guides/diagrams to the main contactor? the Gsm manual posted at the beginning of this section doesnt have the wiring diagram pages, which would be a great help.

The lube pump will be 240volts AC.

I have seen them before where they lock up but if you remove the cover from the motor & then the sprung clamp they start running. Don't forget it only runs when the spindle is running. The unit will also have a float switch which should be wired to pins 17 & 18 on CO1.

Thats excellent thankyou. I've now realised that the gsm manual doesnt inc all the relevant info required to trace wiring. Your info certainly helps but, with the cable's wired to co1 17/18 feed into connector c06 12/11 then to the drive pcb, is it right in assuming that the R/Be cable from C01-17 to C06-12 to drive pcb carries a voltage?? as the other Gn/R cable from C01-18 to C06-11 to drive pcb states a 0V?
