Just bought a Triac with Win98 computer and TurboCNC
I am starting from scratch and need to write the TurboCNC.ini file.
I need such information as
Leadscrew pitches
Stepper motor steps per revolution
Parallel port pin info.
and more I'm sure.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
regards

Some info can be taken from the file triac.ini which you can find in the VR Milling v2 download from our website - it's all fairly straight forward.
Parallel port info I have no idea, that must have been retrofitted as we will have used an RS232 link

eg:
Travel X+=0
Travel Y+=0
Travel Z+=0
Travel IV+=360
Travel X-=-290
Travel Y-=-170
Travel Z-=-235
Steps per mill X=200
Steps per mill Y=200
Steps per mill Z=200

Yes that is the case. All the electronics were replaced leaving only the stepper motors and leadscrews.
Can you help with:
Steppermotors - how many pulses per revolution and any other details?
Leadscrew pitches
Toothed belt gearing connecting the stepper motor to the leadscrew
this is the machine Serial Number 05065E

best regards

will the axes move 1mm for 200 steps (200 steps per mm)
so you can possibly work out all you need to know from there.

The pulleys/screws are something like 2:1 or 2.5:1 and 5mm pitch ballscrews.
