Post by -=PAB=- » Mon 14 Aug , 2006 13:20 pm

the slow and single quadrant moves of the triac are very poor -i am considering upgrading with a new control- can anyone do this for me as i havn't a clue how.. i need to use toolchanger and programable spindle speed. i have a licensed copy of Mach 3 if that helps... cheers....

Mach 3 would be the way to go.

A campbell breakout board and spindle spped control will easily take care of the X Y Z and spindle speed, You'll have to write a bit of code for the toolchanger, I've not done it myself so can't help any further on that and I think you'll need a thing called a MODIO board for all the iNput outputs from the toolchanger.

If you've got a licensed copy of M3 I guess you've done a retro fit before?
