I was referring to jpmiller's machine which is not Fanuc like the original posters - it's a DOS Denford machine with (SEM?) servo drives instead of steppers...
Updating that machine to Mach would make sense

Apologies, yes, you are correct, that would make sense to move away from the old control system to Mach3 :D :D :D

Thanks admin as far as I'am aware my servo triac is a closed loop system the system also uses encoders? and the sem motors are ac?
but the control system is dsp 386 is this correct?

Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.
