Triac year 2000 tool changer question

Post by rasp » Thu 28 Feb , 2008 19:14 pm

Hi,

The tool changer on my Triac loads tool 6 when I ask for tool 1, how can I reset the tool positions so it loads the correct tool.

Is the current tool stored in a file somewhere so I can change it or do I move all the tool markers on the changer to match the position.

Or is it something else.

Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head with no docs in front of me
In MDI type in M25
this resets current holder to number 1 so move to number one first.

if it's not M25 it's M 20 something, if nobody chips in I'll find the book tomorro

M27 (Reset Carousel to Pocket One).

This code is used to reset the carousel back to position one.

Thank you for your reply, I have tried the M27 and it looked as if it had not worked. When I powered up the machine today the tool number was correct. I can only assume you have to do a restart after the M27.

Thanks

You have to manually shift the carousel to tool position 1 then M27 and it then thinks the current tool is number 1 - it doesn't actually move the carosel after entering M27 - oh did you press run after entering M27 in MDI?

you can test it out after by entering M6 T3 for example and the carousel will go to tool 3

(well at least thats what happens with a Fanuc version  )
