1988 Triac Fanuc " Datum Tool Changer" error

Post by bradders » Wed 13 Feb , 2008 12:27 pm

I have a 1988 Triac Fanuc with an ATC controlled by a North Eastern Electronics SMCU card and datum sensor with on screen operator buttons. When I try to do an M codes I get a "Datum Tool Changer" error. Does anyone know how to reset the tool changer ? (By the way its not M27)

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

Sorry, I've no idea - have you got access to the PMC ladder listing ? It should give us a clue.
Is the toolchanger motor acting like a fourth axis to the Fanuc ?

If I were doing the logic for datuming an additional axis, the most obvious thing would be to use the 4th axis home buttons on the Fanuc control panel (if there even are any ?)
