Triac feed rate setting in VR milling 2

Hi all,

I just acquired a triac with VR milling 2. When I go to jog the machine it maxes out at 39 in/min. The manual says 2500mm/min or roughly 100in/min. I went in and modified the machine feed rate parameters to match the values in the manual. Is this OK? Why was it not like this originally? Seems to be working fine with the adjusted parameters.

It all depends on the age of the Triac & what control is fitted. It could be 1500mm/min up to 2500mm/min. Do you know the age of the machine & serial number?

It is a 1995 triac PC with the serial number EO4595.

I would say the max feed should be set to 1500mm/min.

1500 mm/min for x and y, 1000 mm/min for z? If it is set to high the concern is it losing steps when under load?
