Denford orac conversion help

Post by mark51gun » Wed 02 Dec , 2020 11:06 am

Hi all, i have just bought a orac lathe to compliment my triac and i have run into a problem...
the lathe has been converted to modern electronics, that i know little about, running Linux cnc, and apart from a spindle issue all seemed well,
until a loud pop fizzing noises and sparking from a board, the lathe was running in program when this happened, but with no tool in the holder just so i could get my head around proving the programme, so no load on any axis or spindle, the axis still move but the spindle will now rotate at 30ish rpm max regardless of programmed speed, i have no idea what this board is for and no idea if it's an off the shelf item or a home brew, could anyone help identifying what it is and what its for please
