Orac stepper motors.

Hi guys
Does any one know what newton meters the origenal stepper motors of the Orac are? I cant decide which stepper motors to use on my Orac as I want to replace them. I am battling with the shaft size as I dont want to replace the current pulleys.
Thanks guys

Johann

Hi,

If I rember correctly they are rated at a low 156Ncm, but with the grearing down via a timing belt on the leadscrew, works quite happily, and the lighter load on the cross slide needs little power to move it.

Hope this helps.
