What's worth saving?

Post by sevencontinents » Thu 05 Apr , 2012 8:05 am

Hi all,

I just bought an Orac and plan on upgrading it to modern controls. What's worth saving on it, electronics-wise?

Thanks.

I'd keep the stepper drives (Parker) as they will work fine unless you want to go to microstepping.
If the spindle drive still works, run it until it either fails or you find there isn't enough power.
