Service manual, or tips?

Post by Ben L » Fri 16 Sep , 2016 15:18 pm

Ive had my Novamill for a few weeks now and after sorting out the tooling and what not. Ive been enjoying using it with Mach.

Id love to know more about maintenance of it though, and things I should check.

There is an sound coming from the Y axis motor which is a little odd, sort of grinding, where the other axis are smooth as silk. and concerns me a bit. its working fine though. I imagine you access the motor etc for that axis through the panel at the back, is that right right before I drag it out to look??

It would be nice to understand this machine a little better form the inside. the manual doesn’t seem to give too much away. or maybe ive missed a section?

I hope someone can give me a little nudge in the right direction, especially concerning the Y axis motor.

Cheers

Ben

Thanks Martin, much appreciated. Ive also given the gibs a little look and they were both looser than I would like. Good call.

I'll have a look at that manual Cheers
