"Could not connect to Machine"

Post by Dan416 » Thu 07 Feb , 2013 16:58 pm

Computer that runs router had to be wiped out and reloaded and now will not connect to machine.

I checked the USB connection by bypassing the jack on the cabinet housing and plugged the short USB cord from router directly into the computer with no success. The two fuses in the back of the router cabinet are intact.

"Baldor USB Device" box comes up but "cannot install this Hardware" because "wizard cannot find necessary software."

Any suggestions? thanks, Dan

disconnect the USB then download the latest version the latest version of VRMilling from the Denford website then when you run the Autorun install the relevant Baldor USB driver then reconnect the USB lead. When you turn the machine on it should install the driver.

The driver is located in a USB directory on the VR Milling CD.

Plug the USB in a different port on the computer and browse for the USB directory on the CD and then it should find it.

Is your computer a 32 bit or 64 bit system as the drivers are different.

As you're on v5.11 milling I'd definitely recommend downloading the latest version from here:
http://website.denford.ltd.uk/index.php ... -downloads

When this CD image is unzipped and run, the menu has the option to install the lateset 32 or 64 bit drivers for the Baldor control.

I downloaded, unzipped and picked Autorun. Baldor driver still not working. "Cannot complete device driver installation"

Try running "Mint Machine Center and Mint WorkBench Build 5628 setup.exe" from the VRMilling software. It is Baldors software & I think it configures windows as it installs. Then try to update the USB driver again.

All is working. A former student stopped by and helped out. He looked for a Baldor driver manually instead of allowing it to search by itself - I think.

Thanks for the ideas.
