Porter-Cable 3102 router

Post by TDIPower » Wed 28 Jun , 2017 0:06 am

What options are there for replacement of the Porter-Cable 3102 routers as this unit has been out of service for some time?
What is the output from the speed drive board to the motor (how is the speed control done). 2001 model (separate black box with red 7 segment LED control board)
Will it drive the later 1.5hp P-C motor? or could another router be used with a suitable adaption collar if required. eg a Bosch GKF600 (240v fixed speed). or the Makita RT0700CX4 710W (240v or 110v with a variable speed dial)

I know brushes are available from denford but anything else needs to come from the states if you can find a supplier that will ship.

Many Thanks

The Porter-Cable 3102 router spindle motor is controlled via a Sprint 400 DC drive.

To run the 1.5 HP porter cable motor you would need to upgrade to a Sprint 800 DC drive.
