saving an assembly in Solidworks 2011

Post by chrispotts » Thu 17 Mar , 2016 17:51 pm

Hi Guys,
We are able to draw and save a drawing in Solidworks as an STL file and transfer it to VR 5 and hence to the Denford microroute, where we can cut it (most times  ).
20 students have to cut 4 each.
This means cutting a batch.
I have managed to create an assemble with four of the wheels on a base - thinking that i could then transfer this to the machine.
But No!!
When i open the file in VR5 i find the five parts all neatly saved and labled and saved separately. Grrr.
Do we have to spend two or three weeks cutting them one at a time?
or does someone out there have a solution?

By now my finger nails have been chewed down to the knuckle, and most of my hair has been pulled out.
cheers,
Chris
