Microrouter PRO X axis stalls

Post by boots » Mon 06 Apr , 2009 19:51 pm

Microrouter PRO
VR Milling v5.20

The X axis stalls when trying to jog or run a program.
The machine homes and jogs when the Feed rate over ride is set at about 75% of the 4,000mm per minute feed rate (about 3,000 or less).

I could hear the X axis stalling when the feed rate was set over 3,000mm per minute. We sprayed the lead screws and rails with the silicone spray that came with the machine then slowly jogged the X axis to the far end of the travel, sprayed the lead screw and rails again and jogged the X axis back to it's home position. We kept jogging the X axis back and forth to the ends of its travel limits and increased the feed rate speed. The machine will now run at 150% feed rate over ride.
The machine has been kept clean and it wass lubed about once a month, we will lube the machine more often with the spray silicone lube.
