Re: Lost key for Micromill
Hi, it seems that the part numbers have changed. Can you please verify if this is the right switch?
SAIA-BURGESS P2/3FDA.206 KEYSWITCH, 2NO/2NC, 2POS, STD, SPRING
https://uk.farnell.com/saia-burgess/p2-3 ... dp/1162591
Looking at the schematics it looks like the key switch is a momentary switch with a self latching relay arrangement with the main relay contacts. Is this correct?
Also will this switch also work?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SAIA-BURGES ... 43e27ccbaf
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/key-switches/0337633/
If the same key will work then I will be able to use the current switch and either have a spare or resell the switch with one key since the new switch has two keys.
I just got a ScanMill mfg Oct 2002 but it does not have the key. I am planning on updating the electronics with a Gecko G540 and Smooth-stepper ESS board along with a 36V smps but I would like to keep some of the switches and such and would also like to test the current electronics before I start taking it apart.
Thanks, Doug

Re: Lost key for Micromill
I would also like to purchase a replacement key (if possible) or whole switch unit (if the key alone is not available).
I have a ScanTek 2000 Dispatch date October 2005.
It does NOT have a button to turn the power on, just the keyswitch and a light. The keyswitch looks a lot like the links above, but I was hoping there was an updated part number to purchase just the key.
I'm located in the US so a US/NorthAmerican distributor would be preferred.

Re: Lost key for Micromill
I ended up buying a whole replacement key switch and I was then able to copy the keys. I have the key switch and a set of keys listed on ebay. Search for "Saia-Burgess Key Spare TOK 1 - Denford" my user name on Ebay is QSP01. Best of luck on your mill. I have done a lot of work on mine. I ended up replacing the electronics (except for the spindle controller) with an ESS SmoothStepper and a Gecko G540 BOB.

Wish I'd seen your message before purchasing two new keyswitches...oh well.Doug wrote:I ended up buying a whole replacement key switch and I was then able to copy the keys. Good luck on your ScanMill. Have you got it running?
