Easiturn 3 display, auto tool changer and PNC3 connectors...

I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with a 3 problems.

Model: ET 04045B, May 1985, Serial number of control 3256.

1) The bottom line and flashing cursor on the VDU are partly obscured by the bottom edge of the casing. Is there some means of "shrinking" the display so that the bottom line can be read? I seem to remember when my Father was mending old televisions that there were pots or trimmers on the board, which altered the size of the picture.

2) What is the method of driving the 8 station turret round with the machine in manual mode?

3) According to my manual - page 20, there are only 3 sockets on the back of the PNC3, VDU, printer and a round DIN socket labelled RS232. My machine has 2 other 15 pin sockets, 1 male 1 female, the male labelled "aux" and the female socket "I/P's". What's the function of these 2 sockets?

the trim pots are on the card directly behind the screen. I can't remember the name of it but you can just see it in the top of 2 of youre phots. There are several pots all marked up if you look closely. I am not sure which ones you need but but try vetical shift or size similar. If you press the "x" once powered up the screen will change to display a sheet of X's which should make it easier. I think you then press reset to exit. Or just turn off & on.

The 2 spare sockets were used to control the toolpost I think. Have you got a Denford ATC fitted? I belive they connected to a box fastened to the back of the machine with the toolpost electronics inside. The lead was a "Y" lead with both sockets goining in to one plug.

I had another look this morning and found the correct pot to adjust the bottom line position. For other users, it's VR3 right under the CRT at the back of the board and is conveniently labelled "Bot Ln".

Moving on, there is yet another 15 pin female socket, just above the louvred motor cover panel.......any ideas what this might be for?
