I used to own 2 Denford Cyclone Lathes :)

The X axis should show a movement of 2mm when a 1mm cut is programmed, this is because it is working in "diameter mode" which is correct as it should be showing the actual diameter of the material, remember a 1mm depth of cut (X axis movement) will in reality remove 2 mm from the actual diameter of the material, this is normal for most CNC Lathes :) :)
