As far as the number of licenses, customers are limited to 1 installation of the Student Edition (SE) (the product with the FloWorks for “wind tunnel” simulation and STL export to QuickCAM Pro). I believe we provide a “backup” activation tied to each Student Edition serial number to reduce the burden on support if a student has a computer crash or buys a new system that requires reinstallation.
The Student Design Kits (SDKs) are not limited in the number of installations.

NOTE: For people who may call you who only own the F1 in schools package (SDK and Student Edition), be sure to communicate that they are not entitled to the curriculum resources, except for the F1 in Schools project found on the VAR Resource Center under Education and on our teacher blog

! Note ! SDK/SE customers do not have access to the SolidWorks online knowledge base.
