Block skip

Post by drb » Wed 04 Apr , 2007 23:53 pm

I have a subprogram that mills a design in my part. It uses variables that I define in my main program. I want to put block skips on all the lines (tool change, positioning, speeds, feeds, sub program call, etc.) related to cutting this design so I can control which parts will receive the design and which will not. However, VR Milling is giving me an error whenever it encounters a "/" on a line that defines a variable. For example:
/ #502=3

It also ignores the block skip on any line calling up a subprogram. For example:
/N100 M98P9002

Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to do this?

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I'm confused now - after your previous post, I presumed you had a real Fanuc control - Reading the axis position is not supported in VR Milling :?

Can you let me know what systems and versions you are using ?

Thanks
