Shirt collar stiffeners

A simple thing to make - but the results were very pleasing!

I made a few to give to my son for one of his Christmas presents.

The measurements were taken from a plastic shirt stiffener and drawn using CAD.

The brass sheet used is 1.2mm thick, but a thick plastic sheet could also be used.

Brass when polished is very attractive, and makes a nice present!

I can post G-code if anyone wants that.

Beware - whilst the plastic shirt stiffeners will destroy themselves if not removed form the shirt collar, the brass ones are likely to destroy the shirt and maybe the washing machine too, if they are not removed"

The photo shows three completed collar stiffeners - the dark areas are reflections of my camera and hand.

The other 2 files are the CAD drawing, and the machining cycle. The machining cycle has curved entry and exit points at the top. The curves are to allow the cutter a smooth path so that it doesn't mark the part by repeatedly starting and exiting in the same place.

Very nice and thanks for sharing.
I'll stick with the plastic ones though , going by the number of them I fish out of the washing machine
