QuickCAM 2D xy coordinate, z data on generate CAM

Post by arossner » Fri 27 Jul , 2007 4:46 am

I am using Ver. 1.6.5.328 and am having the following problems:

When drawing the X & Y Coordinate values do not coorrespond with the correct units chosen. I choose "Inch" and the coordinates display metric ( I think) but they are high numbers, not what is expected.

also, when using the CAM Generate option, the Z axis depth of cut set doesn't not output correctly in the post file. Each time I try to post out a design, the Z setting is 3 times larger. This makes for a pretty good tool crash if not expecting it.

any help?

Hi,

Can you try and download the latest version and update your installation?

I can see the problem when in inches that as you draw the coordinates at the bottom of the screen are displayed in mm even though inches are selected.

I will pass to the software department for a fix.

Keep your eye on downloads as it will change as soon as the fix is done.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.
