Re: spindle bearing coming loose

Is it the Locknut BI00186H that is coming loose?

We changed the style fitted when we designed the VMC1300. The new part is BI00186HH which has a spring steel locking plate on top. This could be fitted to your machine.

Re: spindle bearing coming loose

Is this the tool becoming loose in the spindle taper? There should only be 44 washers in the spring stack and these are secured by the lock nut at the top of the spindle. See the post attached as the spindle arangement should be the same as the 1300. The locknut is secured with a grub screw so shoul...

Re: Novamill stepper driver issue

I would try switching the drive to the motos by plgging the Y into the X and the X into the Y on the control card. You may have to remove the black key pins from the connector to do this. https://www.denfordata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1627. Then by pressing the Y jog the X will move using the Y ...

Re: Novamill RPM not changing

The sprint drive will have a 0V 10V and analog in terminal. If you connected a pot to this you would then be able to control the speed from the pot proving thet the drive is working. Take care as the Sprint is not isolated but the analog out of the nextmove is iscolated and should change between 0-1...

Hi The simulation always shows the cutting from the top so the tool library should not be edited

In Quick Tern 2D Design make sure you have the correct tool Library selected which will also create a program cutting from the front.

Re: VMC 1300, adjustment procedure to eliminate play in toolholder collet/spindle/drawbar assembly

The tool should be pulled up tight in the taper of the spindle so there should be no movement once fitted. Could you remove a pull stud from a toolholder and check it fits in the taper correctly? All that could cause a tool fitted with the correct pull stud to be loose would be that the springs are ...

Re: How to replace mirrors 2 and 3 on versalaser

You would probably be able to see damage on the mirrors and Len’s if there is any.

A service on the laser may be worth doing. We could measure the laser power before the optics and through them.

The worst case would be you need a laser recharge but it would be worth doing.
