Re: Red lines in Corel Draw not reconised

When you say it wont recognise RED lines does that mean that it outputs them as BLACK lines?
If that is the case then you need to alter the line width in the design software to Hairline.

We used a programable output on the spindle drive to lock the guardmaster switch when the spindle was turned on. I can`t remember the parameter number but if you have the manual it should be simple to find.

If you install LaserCam on a clean PC you get the error as stated.
By installing QuickCam2D the relevent files/changes are added & LaserCam will then work OK.

It may be that you are on a limit switch. You will need to clear the "not ready message" 1. Make sure that the Emergency Stop push button is not pressed in. 2. Press & hold the button marked "Axis Limit Overide". If this clears the message you will need to jog the axis away from the switch while hol...

Just been to check on Parameter Numbers.
The collision parameters are 544 & 545. They need to be set to 0.
Sometimes large values are added by the control which causes the motor to turn on power up, thus displaying a position error.

When is the error displayed?
Does the X axis motor do a small jump when the control is powered up?

You are getting confused. The Parameters & Diagnostics are not the same. You can swap between them by pressing the "DGNOS/PARAM" button

The Triac sounds like you need to input the correct 450 diagnostics. (Diagnostics 450 to 458 ish are what Denfords set specific to each machine.) See if you can find a record of what they were shipped out with. If you have a ATC fitted then you will need to get a air supply to overcome the Air Messa...

If you leave the disc in & press reset you can then run the program in auto. I think that the software displays the program name/number & loads in one line at a time.

Is it possible that the motor/slide is jumping when it is powered up.
Try & mark the position of the slide. If it moves slightly when it is powered up it may be that Parameter 556 (I think) has a large value. Try setting to 0. Parameter 555 is for the x axis.

The values are in mm. Sorry, I don`t know why I said imperial.

machineextentz 107.95
moverangez 107.95

If you change from 107.95 to 139.7 it should allow you to move from zero to 5.5 inches in the Z.

I am not sure what is meant by the chuck option. Maybe Mr Magoo will be able to explain.

You will need to alter/add the following lines to the OPT file.
One is for the Travel & the other for the Simulation. No reason you can`t use both. All values are IMPERIAL.

MACHINEEXTENTX 220
MOVERANGEX 220

You have not said what version of software you are running from. If it is a older machine that has been updated to VRTurning you need to update to the latest version. I think it is now ver1.17. I know some of the earlier versions had toolchange problems. I have had to alter both the steps per mm & m...

It looks like you have a Emergency Stop activated.

Is the red E-Stop button pushed in ?

Is the machine part of a cim? If it is there is normally a 8 pin circular qm plug that needs connecting.

Is it on a machine limit? You can test by holding in the axis overide push button.

The other option is to turn off the Auto Z in the ULS VCP & set the height manually. This would then let you set the material thickness to a smaller amount thus reducing the power. 1. Open the Versalaser Control Panel (VCP) window. 2. Go into the "Setup" tab. 3. Un tick the Auto Z 4. you will then n...

What about raising it off the honeycomb bed as suggested. Then when you send (print) to the versalaser print window you can set it to a custom fixture & input the height. 1. Send a print to the versalaser. 2. In the ULS VersaLaser Settings window change the"Fixture Type" (bottom left corner) to cust...
