Re: Viceroy TBS 1/1G/B metric threads

MOD: Module (metric) = the pitch diameter (in mm) divided by the number of teeth. DP: Diametral pitch (imperial) = number of teeth divided by the pitch diameter (inches). So in comparison, DP = 25.4/MOD For the most part they won't run together. You might find some combinations that are close enough...

Re: Viceroy TBS 1/1G/B metric threads

Well, that's an odd one! You have a 5-position (metric) gearbox (lever to the left of the plate has 5 locations), but for some reason there is an 8-position (imperial) gearbox plate attached. I would suggest that you set up the machine according to a metric gearbox plate (picture here - http://www.l...

Re: Body part screw thread

Page 329 of this download - http://www.denfordata.com/downloads/for ... imised.pdf - lists 1/4" BSW, so I expect that's what they are.

Re: Body part screw thread

Hi Richard, I'm sure there is a parts listing on here somewhere for the TDS 6, but I'm not so familiar with them. Denford did use a mix of threads over the years. 1.25mm is more likely 20tpi, so it could be 1/4" x 20 UNC or BSW. The difference is in the angle, 60 degrees or 55. Might help if you can...

Richard, Happy to help. You don't need web hosting to add pictures on this forum - just click on the 'Attachments' tab below the message content. attachments.JPG or drag / drop a file. Probably best start a new thread for your plates, then folks will find it more easily. There is a sales / wants sec...

Hi Richard and welcome to the forum. Can you post a picture or 2 of what you have? Edit: I found and have posted some of the Collet Attachment (ML107) drawings - see this thread I see now there is clearly a nut that fits on the nose thread - I would say this is purely to enable easy removal of the c...

Re: Denford / Junior Milling Machine

My machine is a bit different than the manual you linked me to. The motor on mine is in the lower cabinet. Pat Pat, I've not yet seen any evidence that there were any more specific manuals for the different TS machines. The introduction does state: "This Instruction Manual has been prepared as a gu...

Re: Denford / Junior Milling Machine

Hi (Pat?) Welcome to the forum. That's quite a rare mill you have. Second question first - Its a No2 Morse Taper fitting in the vertical head. They do get very stuck if they've been in there for a while, especially if the drawbar has been tightened more than necessary. It'll likely need more than a ...
