THE DRINKS ARE ON YOU ROB    Thanks, most of the machine is now working, I`ve reloaded all the PMC/Diagnostics by hand and the RS232 is now also OK and uploading/downloading again. Couple of small things are not working such as the "soft" keys which may be in the parameters 910 throu...

Exactly - the 900 parameters configure major system options like graphics type / memory size / PMC logic type etc... all these must be set before anything else will work. Generally, you would then put in the relevant params to configure the RS232 port (so you can load up the originals) Think these ...

You will need to input the 900 parameters then the full parameters & the 450 diagnostics. If you have a serial number it may be possible to locate a complete set for your machine in the Denford archives. Hi Martins Thanks for the quick response, sorry for the delay but I`ve been out the workshop al...

Re: Cyclone Fanuc OTA, X axis judders & alarm 414
When homing the X axis on Cyclone Fanuc OTA fitted with Norwin drives the X axis judders quite rapidly & then trips out the fanuc control with alarm message 414. The x axis moves freely when the drives are off & turned at the pulley. In my Cyclone Fanuc Manual a 414 alarm is an "X axis drive error"...

Re: I need help with an 8 station Orac Tool Turret
I am trying to convert an 8 station Denford Tool Turret to run on mach3. The turret is the type with the small maxon dc gearmotor and 3 optical sensors that read 3 discs for tool position. By the electrical schematics, it appears that the motor runs full current in one direction to find the tool, t...

Re: Easiturn 3 “MACHINE LIMIT EXCEED IN X”
In our school (of technical education), we have a turning lathe; model "Easiturn 3 with control unit PNC3 (TDS/E/T/CNC, Serial No ET 18094N, Date of MFC November 1984) that used to work normally. As soon as the last operation was finished, we pushed the "ZERO" button so as to return to the starting...

I used to have an Easimill 3 and an Easiturn 2 that used those Data tapes, I managed to get some off Ebay, that was after finding out they wanted £37 each for new ones!! I don`t have the mill or lathe any more, (Moved up to a Cyclone P) but I think I may still have some of the tapes as I`m pretty su...

It may be worth looking at the toolpost clamp switch/input. If it is the RH80 toolpost you can get to the small micro switch by removing the circlip on the right hand side. This allows access to the clamp switch & the rotary switch. If it does not send the signal to the control then it wil not comp...
