Re: New Triac Retrofit
Hi Dave, got the orac sensor working eventually. Nice to see you got the triac, lovely machines. This sounds like "trying to teach your gradma to suck eggs", but if you need any help give me a shout, i've done a few.

Re: Microrouter Compact accuracy
In laymans terms a router will normally be around 5 times faster than a mill, but the mill will be 5 times more accurate. Because the router axis moves 5 times more per step of the motor than the mill. This is due to the stepper motor directly driving the screw on the router, and the pitch of the sc...

Re: Micromill spindle question
Unfortunately i have no idea, but a pic of the motor may help. I would expect it's a dc motor, a datasheet for the spindle board would help

Re: Micromill spindle question
on mills, a signal is sent to to the sgr relay which enables/supplies power to the spindle board, and the pot/analogue board varies the spindle speed. It looks like the next step is to check the motor actually works.

Re: Micromill spindle question
going by the micromill drawing it would look like the right one is the sgr relay, but the diagram is for 2000 models, is your machine that new. Unfortunately i don't have a micromill here to look at, but normally one relay is the e-stop and the other is the sgr (which powers the spindle/spindle boar...
